Jobber is a field service platform: quotes, scheduling, invoicing, payments and a client hub, with time tracking on its middle plans. FieldTimesheet does one job for electrical shops: clean hours from your crew, a line about what got done, and invoices your customers don't fight.
Jobber runs the whole service call. Its plans cover online booking, quotes, scheduling, invoices, online payments, a client hub and marketing tools. Time tracking starts on the Connect plan, which also adds QuickBooks Online sync, and the Grow plan adds location timers that start and stop when a tech arrives at or leaves a client's property. Jobber prices by team size: Connect is listed at $299 per month for 10 users with no commitment, and extra users are $29 per month each.
Many electrical shops already quote and invoice in QuickBooks or another system and do not want to move that. What they need from the field is narrower: clean hours on the right job, and a record the customer can follow when they ask what three electricians did for two days. Hours alone do not answer that. Hours with a line about the work do: Thu 7:02a to 3:48p, pulled and terminated circuits 12 to 18, second-floor east wing.
FieldTimesheet is built around that line. At clock-out the electrician writes one sentence about the work, and that note goes onto a customer billing packet with the date, who worked, hours, your bill rate and the amount. What you pay your electricians never appears on it.
Below is a straight comparison using Jobber's own pricing and time tracking pages, checked October 19, 2026. Where Jobber does more, the table says so.
| Feature | FieldTimesheet | Jobber |
|---|---|---|
| Crew Work Notes | Clock-out asks what got done. Recent notes can be reused when a job carries over. | Job notes, photos, attachments and checklists from the field, plus voice notes on newer plans. |
| Customer Billing Packet | Printable packet per job: date, who, what was done, hours, bill rate, amount. Cost rates never appear. | Quotes and invoices sent to the client, with a client hub. Its time tracking page describes timesheets for payroll and job costing, not a per-entry labor record for the customer. |
| Quotes, Scheduling and Invoicing | Not included. FieldTimesheet is time tracking and billing backup only; keep quoting and invoicing where you do it now. | Online booking, quotes, a drag-and-drop schedule, invoices and online payments on every plan. |
| QuickBooks | Connect QuickBooks Online and click Sync to send completed entries as time activities. One way, from FieldTimesheet to QuickBooks. | QuickBooks Online and Xero sync from the Connect plan up, including approved hours for payroll. QuickBooks Desktop is not mentioned. |
| Time Tracking | Clock in and out on a job from the phone's browser, with a note at clock-out. Same on every plan. | Job timers from the Connect plan up, with breaks, labeled time and crew timers; location timers on Grow and above. Not listed on Core. |
| GPS | GPS recorded with the clock-in and clock-out punches only. Nothing in between. | Location timers that start and stop at the client's property on Grow and above, and a separate vehicle GPS feature. |
| Setup | The clock page opens in the phone's browser on iPhone or Android, nothing to install. | iOS and Android apps for the team, with onboarding sessions included on some plans. |
| Pricing Model | Starter $39/mo for up to 3 workers. Crew $99/mo for up to 10, then $8 per extra worker. Same features on both. | Priced by plan and team size. Time tracking starts on Connect: $139/mo for 1 user, $299/mo for 10, $29/mo per extra user. |

Jobber is the bigger tool. If you want to run the whole service call in one place, from booking and quotes to scheduling, invoicing and payments, it is built for that, and FieldTimesheet is not.
FieldTimesheet is narrower and costs less for a crew. It gets the hours and a line about the work from each electrician, then turns that into a billing packet a customer can read, with your bill rate and never your cost rate. For a 10-person crew it is $99 per month, against $299 per month for Jobber's first plan with time tracking.
If your problem is T&M invoices that get questioned, and you are happy quoting and invoicing where you do now, run a real week on the free trial, print the packet for one job, and decide whether it saves you an invoice argument.
It is if what you need from software is clean hours and invoice backup a customer can follow. Each clock-out carries a short note about the work, and the billing packet shows date, who worked, what was done, hours, your bill rate and the amount. It is not a replacement if you use Jobber for quotes, scheduling, invoicing or payments, which FieldTimesheet does not have.
Jobber's pricing page, checked October 19, 2026, lists monthly no-commitment prices by team size: Core $49 per month for 1 user, Connect from $139 per month for 1 user and $299 for 10, and Grow from $199 for 1 user and $399 for 10, with extra users at $29 per month each. Time tracking is listed from Connect up. Lower prices are listed with a 1-year commitment. Confirm current prices with Jobber. FieldTimesheet's Crew plan is $99 per month for up to 10 workers, and Starter is $39 per month for up to 3, both month to month.
You can, but there is no connection between the two. FieldTimesheet sends hours to QuickBooks Online only. If Jobber is where you quote and invoice, you would print the FieldTimesheet billing packet and attach it as backup for a T&M invoice.
There is no import tool. You add your active jobs and invite your electricians by email, which takes a few minutes for a small shop. Each electrician opens the invite, sets a password and can clock in the same day.
FieldTimesheet connects to QuickBooks Online only. You click Sync on the Time page to send completed entries as time activities, one way, from FieldTimesheet to QuickBooks. If you are on QuickBooks Desktop, use the CSV export and printed reports instead.
No. GPS is recorded with the clock-in and clock-out punches only. There is no live location view. The point is to document the work, not to watch the crew.
