For electrical contractors

Electrical contractor timesheet software that shows what got done

Get clean hours from your crew. Get invoices your customers don't fight. Phone punches become weekly timesheets for the office and billing packets for the customer, and every entry carries the electrician's note about the work.

No credit card required. 14-day free trial. Cancel anytime.

A timesheet row the customer can follow

Most timesheets answer one question: how many hours. When the hours turn into a T&M invoice, the customer asks a different one: what were they for. Here is the same row, two ways:

Thu. Riverside Medical. 7:02a to 3:48p. 8.77 hrs.

Thu. Riverside Medical. 7:02a to 3:48p. 8.77 hrs. Pulled and terminated circuits 12 to 18, second-floor east wing.

The note is written once, by the electrician, at clock-out while the work is fresh. It then shows up everywhere the hours do: the weekly timesheet, the billing packet and the CSV. Nobody in the office has to reconstruct the week from memory.

Example entry for illustration. The job name is made up.

One set of punches, four documents

  1. 01

    Weekly timesheet, per electrician

Pick a worker and a week. You get Monday to Sunday with the job, clock-in, clock-out and hours for each punch, the work note under each row, a week total, and signature lines for the worker and a supervisor. Print it or save it as a PDF from the browser.

  2. 02

    Billing packet, per job

Pick a job and a date range. Each entry shows the date, who worked, what was done, hours, your bill rate and the amount. It never shows what you pay your electricians, so it can go straight to the customer.

  3. 03

    Job labor report, for you

The same job and date range with your cost rates and labor cost. It is marked internal so it does not get sent by mistake.

  4. 04

    CSV export, for anything else

Filter the Time page by date range, job, worker or sync status, then export. The file has the date, worker, job, clock times, minutes, cost rate, labor cost, work note and QuickBooks sync status for every entry.

What it does not do

  • Offline punches. Clocking in or out needs a signal; there is no offline punch queue yet.
  • Approval workflows. There is no in-app supervisor sign-off; the weekly timesheet has signature lines for paper sign-off instead.
  • Payroll. FieldTimesheet records and prints hours; it does not calculate pay stubs or withholding.
  • Geofencing. There is no automatic clock-in when someone arrives on site.
  • Scheduled QuickBooks pushes. Hours go to QuickBooks Online when an admin clicks Sync, one way, and are not attached to a QuickBooks customer yet.

If you need any of those today, compare options first: FieldTimesheet vs QuickBooks Time, vs Clockify.

What it costs

$99 per month covers your company and up to 10 workers, then $8 per month for each additional worker. The weekly timesheets, billing packets, reports and CSV export are all included.

Frequently Asked Questions

One electrician, one week, Monday to Sunday. Each punch shows the day, job, clock-in, clock-out and hours, with the work note under it. The sheet ends with the week total and signature lines for the worker and a supervisor.

Your electricians clock in and out from their own phones in the browser, on iPhone or Android. They pick the job, tap clock in, and leave one line about what got done at clock-out. GPS is recorded with the two punches only.

Yes. An admin can edit an entry or add one for a missed shift from the Time page. Entries added there are marked manual, so you can tell them apart from phone punches.

Not in the app. The printed weekly timesheet has worker and supervisor signature lines for shops that sign off on paper.

Hours push to QuickBooks Online as time activities when an admin clicks Sync. It is one way, from FieldTimesheet to QuickBooks. If you do not use QuickBooks, the CSV export and printed reports work without it.

Only the billing packet: date, who worked, what was done, hours, bill rate and amount. Your cost rates and labor cost stay on the internal job labor report and the CSV.

$99 per month covers your company and up to 10 workers, then $8 per month for each additional worker. Every plan starts with a 14-day free trial with no credit card. Full details are on the pricing page.
