ExakTime, now called Arcoro Time, is a construction time clock built around payroll: geofences, cost codes, rugged hardware clocks and a long list of payroll connections. FieldTimesheet does less on purpose: clean hours from your crew, a line about what got done, and invoices your customers don't fight.
ExakTime has been renamed Arcoro Time, and exaktime.com now redirects to arcoro.com. Its pricing page lists three plans billed per employee on an annual contract, and its site covers geofences, project and cost codes, equipment tracking, daily reports, rugged time clocks for the jobsite and connections to QuickBooks, Sage, ADP, Acumatica, Foundation and Viewpoint. For a contractor whose main problem is getting accurate hours into payroll, that is a deep tool.
The question for an electrical shop billing T&M is different. When the customer asks what three electricians did for two days, can you hand them a record they can follow? Hours alone do not answer that. Hours with a line about the work do: Thu 7:02a to 3:48p, pulled and terminated circuits 12 to 18, second-floor east wing.
FieldTimesheet is built around that line. At clock-out the electrician writes one sentence about the work, and that note goes onto a customer billing packet with the date, who worked, hours, your bill rate and the amount. What you pay your electricians never appears on it.
Below is a straight comparison using Arcoro's own ExakTime pricing, home and QuickBooks pages, checked October 14, 2026. Where ExakTime does more, the table says so.

ExakTime, now Arcoro Time, is the deeper payroll tool: geofences, cost codes, equipment, rugged jobsite clocks, certified payroll reports and connections to most construction accounting systems. If your problem is getting accurate hours into payroll across many sites, it is built for that, and FieldTimesheet is not.
FieldTimesheet is narrower. It gets the hours and a line about the work from each electrician, then turns that into a billing packet a customer can read, with your bill rate and never your cost rate. If your problem is T&M invoices that get questioned, that is the part that matters.
The buying terms differ too. ExakTime's listed prices are per employee on an annual contract; FieldTimesheet is a flat $39 or $99 a month by crew size, month to month. Run a real week on the free trial, print the billing packet for one job, and decide from that.
Yes. ExakTime was renamed Arcoro Time, and exaktime.com now redirects to arcoro.com/exaktime. The product pages still describe it as Arcoro Time (formerly ExakTime).
It is if your main job for the software is clean hours and invoice backup a customer can follow. Each clock-out carries a short note about the work, and the billing packet shows date, who worked, what was done, hours, your bill rate and the amount. It is not a replacement if you depend on ExakTime's geofences, cost codes, rugged time clocks, certified payroll reports or its Sage, ADP and Viewpoint connections, which FieldTimesheet does not have.
Arcoro's ExakTime pricing page, checked October 14, 2026, lists Time Essential from $9, Time Professional from $12 and Time + Payroll from $20 per employee per month, with an annual contract and annual payment. It says monthly and quarterly terms are available but does not list those prices. Confirm current prices with Arcoro. FieldTimesheet's Crew plan is $99 per month for up to 10 workers, and Starter is $39 per month for up to 3, both month to month.
There is no import tool. You add your active jobs and invite your electricians by email, which takes a few minutes for a small shop. Each electrician opens the invite, sets a password and can clock in the same day.
No. FieldTimesheet connects to QuickBooks Online only. You click Sync on the Time page to send completed entries as time activities, one way, from FieldTimesheet to QuickBooks. If you are on QuickBooks Desktop, use the CSV export and printed reports instead.
No. GPS is recorded with the clock-in and clock-out punches only. There is no breadcrumbing and no geofence. The point is to document the work, not to watch the crew.
