BusyBusy is a construction time tracker with a free plan, GPS breadcrumbing, equipment tracking and a long list of integrations. FieldTimesheet does less on purpose: clean hours from your crew, a line about what got done, and invoices your customers don't fight.
BusyBusy is a construction time tracking app with a free tier for unlimited users, plus paid Pro and Premium plans. Its pricing page lists GPS breadcrumbing, supervisor tools, daily sign-offs, photos and notes, scheduling and equipment tracking, and its integrations page covers QuickBooks Online, ADP, Procore, Sage and Viewpoint. For a contractor who runs equipment and needs payroll-ready timecards, that is a broad tool.
The question for an electrical shop billing T&M is narrower. When the customer asks what three electricians did for two days, can you hand them a record they can follow? Hours alone do not answer that. Hours with a line about the work do: Thu 7:02a to 3:48p, pulled and terminated circuits 12 to 18, second-floor east wing.
FieldTimesheet is built around that line. At clock-out the electrician writes one sentence about the work, and that note goes onto a customer billing packet with the date, who worked, hours, your bill rate and the amount. What you pay your electricians never appears on it.
Below is a straight comparison using BusyBusy's own pricing and integrations pages, checked October 13, 2026. Where BusyBusy does more, the table says so.

BusyBusy covers more ground: a free tier, equipment tracking, scheduling, breadcrumbing and a long integration list. If you run heavy equipment or push hours into Procore or Viewpoint, it is built for that, and FieldTimesheet is not.
FieldTimesheet is narrower. It gets the hours and a line about the work from each electrician, then turns that into a billing packet a customer can read, with your bill rate and never your cost rate. If your problem is T&M invoices that get questioned, that is the part that matters.
Pricing works differently too. BusyBusy charges per user on its paid plans plus an admin license; FieldTimesheet is a flat $39 or $99 a month by crew size. Run a real week on the free trial, print the billing packet for one job, and decide from that.
It is if your main job for the software is clean hours and invoice backup a customer can follow. Each clock-out carries a short note about the work, and the billing packet shows date, who worked, what was done, hours, your bill rate and the amount. It is not a replacement if you depend on BusyBusy's equipment tracking, scheduling, breadcrumbing or its Procore and Viewpoint integrations, which FieldTimesheet does not have.
BusyBusy's pricing page, checked October 13, 2026, lists a free plan for unlimited users, Pro at $11.99 per user per month billed monthly ($9.99 billed annually) and Premium at $17.99 per user per month ($14.99 annually), with a $40 admin license on paid plans that includes the first user. Confirm current prices with BusyBusy. FieldTimesheet's Crew plan is $99 per month for up to 10 workers, and Starter is $39 per month for up to 3.
If free GPS time tracking covers what you need, the free plan is a reasonable choice. FieldTimesheet is for shops whose problem is the invoice, not the timecard: the crew's note about the work goes onto a billing packet your customer can read, with your bill rate and without your cost rate.
There is no import tool. You add your active jobs and invite your electricians by email, which takes a few minutes for a small shop. Each electrician opens the invite, sets a password and can clock in the same day.
FieldTimesheet connects to QuickBooks Online. You click Sync on the Time page to send completed entries as time activities. It is one way, from FieldTimesheet to QuickBooks. QuickBooks Desktop, ADP, Procore and Sage are not supported. You can also use the CSV export and printed reports without QuickBooks.
No. GPS is recorded with the clock-in and clock-out punches only. There is no breadcrumbing and no geofence. The point is to document the work, not to watch the crew.
